According to Vietnam trademark system, the "first to file" principle is applied for trademark protection in Vietnam. It means that the trademark registration will be granted to the individuals, legal entities who first filed the trademark application. Each application can only be used for one trademark. However, multi-class trademark applications are acceptable in Vietnam, accordingly up to 45 classes of goods and services can be claimed under one application.
